Near the tree street is an equally beautiful setting, a restaurant to which some gals and I went to celebrate the ever increasing age of Number 2. The restaurant is tucked into a bend in the Nile so that, once you're seated, it's possible to imagine that this place stands on its own island, all alone.
Before eating, we took the requisite goofy pictures. Then we settled in to munch various appetizers along our way to reaching the 90 pound minimum weekend charge.
90 pounds is a heck of a lot for a meal. Granted, this is less than $20, but the prices in this particular restaurant signify a level of fancy-pants-ness to which I am unaccustomed. Thankfully, I managed to go three hours without spilling anything unsightly on my sweater.
A successful evening, all around.
